How it Works
An induction cooker uses an electromagnetic field generated by passing an alternating electric current through a copper coil wire. This technology saves energy since the surface of the induction cooker doesn’t need heating.
Induction hobs only work with cooking vessels made of ferrous materials (e.g., consisting of iron). Fully aluminum, copper, glass, or clay vessels will not function with an induction hob. Check out our post on hobs for more details.
